This image combines the beauty of the light reflecting elevator at the MIM with the second floor marble landing. The curves of the landing and the lights reflecting on the marble and on the walls of the elevator seemed to work together to tell the story of transitioning to and emerging onto the second floor of the MIM.
Settling into the sunset of my life, I have returned to the love of imaging that drove me as a teenager. It's been a long journey, through motherhood (3 men and 9 grandchildren), religion, computer science career, and two wonderful marriages. It has emerged into a fuller awareness of the basic love within me, a true awareness of my real self, a spiritual awakening, and a desire to splurge with color and form, through the adventure of photography and digital imaging. I wish to express and share my appreciation for the art that is the world, through the use of focused expression in a direct image of the beauty in the world to the visual poetry of abstract impressionism through digital art.
