Artist's Description
This lovely little town is located in Holland, Michigan, at Windmill Island. The town was built to simulate a Dutch town. Tulips are in abundance. The center of attraction, besides the town, is the large windmill, surrounded by tulip gardens. It is definitely worth a trip!
About Georgianne Giese
Settling into the sunset of my life, I have returned to the love of imaging that drove me as a teenager. It's been a long journey, through motherhood (3 men and 9 grandchildren), religion, computer science career, and two wonderful marriages. It has emerged into a fuller awareness of the basic love within me, a true awareness of my real self, a spiritual awakening, and a desire to splurge with color and form, through the adventure of photography and digital imaging. I wish to express and share my appreciation for the art that is the world, through the use of focused expression in a direct image of the beauty in the world to the visual poetry of abstract impressionism through digital art.

Thanks Pennie. It is a wonderful place to visit, especially in mid-May when the tulips are blooming! This year they bloomed right after the Tulip Festival weekend, and that was the time we visited, since we couldn't make it for the festival. The timing was perfect!
