It was a rainy day in Arizona (a rarity) and we decided to visit a local antique shop in Mesa, AZ. Outside of the store there sat a shell of an old red sports car. I decided to photograph it and then took an image of a restored red sportster and superimposed it over the image of the decaying red car shell. The rain on our windshield added the final touch of tears to thoughts of the past fun enjoyed by the owners of these old cars!
Settling into the sunset of my life, I have returned to the love of imaging that drove me as a teenager. It's been a long journey, through motherhood (3 men and 9 grandchildren), religion, computer science career, and two wonderful marriages. It has emerged into a fuller awareness of the basic love within me, a true awareness of my real self, a spiritual awakening, and a desire to splurge with color and form, through the adventure of photography and digital imaging. I wish to express and share my appreciation for the art that is the world, through the use of focused expression in a direct image of the beauty in the world to the visual poetry of abstract impressionism through digital art.
