We live near the ocean. There is nothing more peaceful for us, than a walk on the shore. We are retired and have a lot of discretionary time on our hands. Some retirees like to just sit and stare at the ocean, to while away the time. But the routine of retired life gets boring after a while. We rise in the morning, eat breakfast, check email, get lost in the computer or go to the doctors or exercise (maybe a walk on the shore), eat lunch, do chores, nap, eat dinner, watch TV, go to bed. Repeat ad nauseum. Time just seems to vanish as it rapidly approaches us and they just floats on by before we can catch it!
Settling into the sunset of my life, I have returned to the love of imaging that drove me as a teenager. It's been a long journey, through motherhood (3 men and 9 grandchildren), religion, computer science career, and two wonderful marriages. It has emerged into a fuller awareness of the basic love within me, a true awareness of my real self, a spiritual awakening, and a desire to splurge with color and form, through the adventure of photography and digital imaging. I wish to express and share my appreciation for the art that is the world, through the use of focused expression in a direct image of the beauty in the world to the visual poetry of abstract impressionism through digital art.
