This is a composite of some of my favorite things: The ocean shoreline, sea grasses, shells, and a beached jellyfish. When one starts to notice beached jellyfish in late spring, it is a sign that the sea turtles are coming onto the shoreline soon, to lay their hundreds of eggs in nests dug in the beach sand. The turtles eat jellyfish.
Settling into the sunset of my life, I have returned to the love of imaging that drove me as a teenager. It's been a long journey, through motherhood (3 men and 9 grandchildren), religion, computer science career, and two wonderful marriages. It has emerged into a fuller awareness of the basic love within me, a true awareness of my real self, a spiritual awakening, and a desire to splurge with color and form, through the adventure of photography and digital imaging. I wish to express and share my appreciation for the art that is the world, through the use of focused expression in a direct image of the beauty in the world to the visual poetry of abstract impressionism through digital art.
