Artist's Description
While visiting Verde Valley, AZ, I came across a lovely piece of rusting machine. It had to have a use! So I combined it with an image of a coconut and a lizard on the beach of the Bahamas. The result reminded me of a world map, of decay, yet of the survival of some of the most elementary forms of animal life.
About Georgianne Giese
Settling into the sunset of my life, I have returned to the love of imaging that drove me as a teenager. It's been a long journey, through motherhood (3 men and 9 grandchildren), religion, computer science career, and two wonderful marriages. It has emerged into a fuller awareness of the basic love within me, a true awareness of my real self, a spiritual awakening, and a desire to splurge with color and form, through the adventure of photography and digital imaging. I wish to express and share my appreciation for the art that is the world, through the use of focused expression in a direct image of the beauty in the world to the visual poetry of abstract impressionism through digital art.
