I was playing with my camera on the Mogollon Rim in Arizona. From the Rim, you can see across a lot of Arizona! It is very high, and makes my stomach jump. So I decided to create an image that reflects my feelings about being on the edge of such precipices! The chipmunks were abundant up there, always in search of food and not afraid of us, so I put one of them into the picture!
Settling into the sunset of my life, I have returned to the love of imaging that drove me as a teenager. It's been a long journey, through motherhood (3 men and 9 grandchildren), religion, computer science career, and two wonderful marriages. It has emerged into a fuller awareness of the basic love within me, a true awareness of my real self, a spiritual awakening, and a desire to splurge with color and form, through the adventure of photography and digital imaging. I wish to express and share my appreciation for the art that is the world, through the use of focused expression in a direct image of the beauty in the world to the visual poetry of abstract impressionism through digital art.
